Blackberry Passport Design

The Blackberry Passport has a design that many may find ridiculous, but the phone was made for what we use our phones to do everyday, which is to work (email), surf the web, use maps, and other graphics uses that merit a wider screen.

The wide sceen is very practical and reduces the almost compulsory side scrolling we have to on the other highly touted smartphones including the Samsung S5 and the iPhone 6 Plus.

The Passport uses a 4.5″ square screen of 1440×1440 resolution. it has a 13 MP autofocus rear facing camera. Front camera is a 2MP fixed-focus with auto image satbilization 3x digital zoom and 720p video. The rear camera gives 1080p HD video recording at 60 fps.

The Passport runs on the BlackBerry 10 operating system and the phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 with 2.2GHz Quad-Core CPUs.

Onboard, there is 32GB of flash memory with a MicroSD memory card slot for up to 128 GB.

Onboard processing memory is an enviable 3GB of RAM. In plain English, this is a serious beast!

Now this may very well be my next smartphone . it is powerful and practical. Through Amazon AppStore, there will be enough of the Apps that I use. By the way, I also owned a Blackberry Playbook and loved their OS on which Blackberry is based. In fact the user experience for me, was better than on Android or iOS devices which I own.
